It’s hard to believe that we have been parked at my sister, Sheila and brother-in-law, Vern’s house for 12 days today. Time is just flying by. I just realized that I didn’t take any pictures of Lucy in her spot but I do have a picture of our neighbors that we see every evening right outside our door.
Sheila and Vern have a beautiful place in the country with several acres including this pond that attracts deer every evening. It’s quiet and peaceful; it’s no wonder they love living here. We tease them that the neighborhood is going downhill, now that the trailer trash neighbors have moved in
One of the perks to “living” here is having access to their rhubarb patch. You all know how much I love rhubarb! Well, the other day, I got an email from an old school friend who had noticed we were back in Wisconsin where rhubarb is plentiful. She sent me a recipe for a rhubarb custard tart that she makes. This turned out to be my new favorite rhubarb anything! It was fantastic! Thanks Sue!
Hot and fresh out of the oven
We finally got to meet the newest member of the family, Emma. Emma is my nephew, Randy and his wife, Kathy’s little girl and she is a doll! We had a cookout over the weekend and Emma joined right in…no fussing, no crying…just being cute
Emma with her daddy
Emma with her Grandma Flip
Emma with her mommy
Isn’t she a doll?
Sheila and I joined my cousin, Penny and our friend Marcia for a little winery touring last Saturday. Penny and Marsha surprised Sheila by wearing shirts with her picture on them.
Here’s a close-up. This is Sheila’s favorite wine glass
We had a great time!
That’s all I’ve got for today. Thanks for stopping by!
