More Visiting, More Rhubarb and a Little Wine-ing :)

It’s hard to believe that we have been parked at my sister, Sheila and brother-in-law, Vern’s house for 12 days today. Time is just flying by. I just realized that I didn’t take any pictures of Lucy in her spot but I do have a picture of our neighbors that we see every evening right outside our door.

Sheila and Vern have a beautiful place in the country with several acres including this pond that attracts deer every evening. It’s quiet and peaceful; it’s no wonder they love living here. We tease them that the neighborhood is going downhill, now that the trailer trash neighbors have moved in Smile

One of the perks to “living” here is having access to their rhubarb patch. You all know how much I love rhubarb! Well, the other day, I got an email from an old school friend who had noticed we were back in Wisconsin where rhubarb is plentiful. She sent me a recipe for a rhubarb custard tart that she makes. This turned out to be my new favorite rhubarb anything! It was fantastic! Thanks Sue!

We finally got to meet the newest member of the family, Emma. Emma is my nephew, Randy and his wife, Kathy’s little girl and she is a doll! We had a cookout over the weekend and Emma joined right in…no fussing, no crying…just being cute Smile

Isn’t she a doll?

Sheila and I joined my cousin, Penny and our friend Marcia for a little winery touring last Saturday. Penny and Marsha surprised Sheila by wearing shirts with her picture on them.

Here’s a close-up. This is Sheila’s favorite wine glass Rolling on the floor laughingRolling on the floor laughingRolling on the floor laughing

We had a great time!

That’s all I’ve got for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Family and Lucy’s First Boo-Boo

Friday, July 1st, we arrived at my sister and brother-in-law’s house in central Wisconsin. We are going to spend some time “moochdocking” in their yard while visiting family and exploring Smile This is where Lucy got her first boo-boo.  We clipped one of the planters they had on either side of the drive way Sad smile Those old whiskey barrels are indestructible!

So, that puts the “when” to rest. Luckily, the bay doors still open, so we aren’t pressed to get her repaired immediately.

We’ve spent the weekend just enjoying family, cooking out and  sitting around the fire. My mom, Joan, brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Ree, niece and her family, Jen, Matt, Ethan, Katja, Mya, Landon and Barney, the dog all joined in the fun on Saturday. Here’s just a few random shots of the family.

Today, I think we’ll be doing more of the same Smile Such a rough life Smile

Have a safe and happy 4th of July and thanks for stopping by.
